2 sticks butter, softened
3 cups granulated sugar
3 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. The Spice Hunter Pure Vanilla Extract
1½ tsp. The Spice Hunter Guatemalan Cardamom
8 oz. whipping cream
1 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar
For Cake: Cream butter and sugar with mixer. Add remaining ingredients and cream together well. Pour into a greased and floured tube or bundt pan. Bake at 275°F for one hour. Increase heat to 350°F for 15-20 minutes more. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Pierce with fork and add glaze while still warm.
For Glaze: Mix together orange juice and sugar. Boil gently until a light syrup forms (about 10 min). Cool slightly and spoon onto pound cake.
