Ginger-Apple Salsa

Ginger-Apple Salsa


2 tsp. The Spice Hunter Ground Chinese Ginger
2 Tbsp. water
¼ cup lime juice
2 large green apples, peeled, cored and cubed
½ medium white onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. cilantro, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced (leave seeds in if you want it spicy)
1 mild chile, such as Anaheim, seeded and diced
½ cup toasted or candied walnut pieces, plus more for garnish if desired
¼ tsp. salt, plus more to taste


Mix apples with lime juice, then mix in the remaining ingredients. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers or use as a topping for grilled fish.
