This recipe uses the following spices:

Basil Pesto


½ cup The Spice Hunter Fresh at Hand Basil
1 Tbsp. The Spice Hunter California Parsley
1 tsp. The Spice Hunter Fresh at Hand Garlic
¼ cup water
1 Tbsp. The Spice Hunter Pine Nuts
1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp. olive oil
salt to taste, if desired


Combine basil, parsley, garlic and water in a bowl. Stir and allow to rehydrate for 3 minutes. In a food processor or with an immersion blender, puree the above ingredients with pine nuts and Parmesan cheese. While blending, drizzle in the oil until incorporated. Salt to taste, if desired. Toss with eight ounces of pasta, cooked as stated on package and enjoy!
