This recipe uses the following spices:

Chicken Verde

Ingredients:

2-3 lbs. chicken or pork, cut into 1-inch cubes
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 (4oz.) cans chopped green chiles
6 medium tomatillos
½ Tbsp. The Spice Hunter 100% Organic Oregano
¼ tsp. The Spice Hunter 100% Organic Cumin
½-1 tsp. The Spice Hunter Red Pepper (Cayenne)
1 tsp. coarse salt
½ cup white wine

Preparation:

In a large Dutch oven, heat oil and brown meat in batches. When browned, remove meat and reserve. To skillet add oil, onion, chiles and garlic, sauté. When soft, add tomatillos and spices; cook for 10 minutes. Place sauce in blender and blend until thick. Put sauce, wine and meat back into Dutch oven; mix well. Cook on medium-low heat until meat is tender (½ hour chicken, 1 hour pork). Season to taste. Serve with tortillas and white rice.
