This recipe uses the following spices:

Pureed Creamy Spinach Soup


1 carrot, peeled and quartered
1 onion, peeled and quartered
1 potato, peeled and quartered
1 clove garlic, peeled
1 lb. spinach, steamed until tender
½ tsp. The Spice Hunter 100% Organic Whole Nutmeg, ground
salt and pepper to taste
3 cup half & half (or canned evaporated skim milk)


Place the carrot, onion, potato and garlic in a saucepan and add enough water to cover. Boil until the vegetables are tender. Mix with the spinach and purée Return to the saucepan and add the half & half and spices. Heat thoroughly over a low flame (do not boil) and serve.
