This recipe uses the following spices:

Black Pepper Brownies


1 cup butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
2 cups white sugar
1½ cups plus 2 Tbsp. flour
1½ Tbsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. The Spice Hunter Pure Vanilla Extract
1 tsp. The Spice Hunter Coarse Black Pepper


Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter and chocolate together in double boiler. Beat eggs and sugar in mixer on low speed. Add chocolate and remaining ingredients, mix until incorporated. Bake in a greased 9 x 13-inch metal pan for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool before cutting.
