This recipe uses the following spices:

Salsa Verde


1 lb. tomatillos, husked and chopped
1 small white onion, diced
1 serrano chile, minced
2 Tbsp. cilantro, minced
1 tsp. The Spice Hunter Fresh at Hand Garlic
1 Tbsp. The Spice Hunter Fresh at Hand Oregano
½ tsp. The Spice Hunter Ground Turkish Cumin
1 tsp. salt
1 cup water
juice of 1 lime


Combine all ingredients in a medium pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat and simmer until tomatillos are soft. Remove from heat and use an immersion blender or regular blender to blend the ingredients until smooth. Chill and serve with tortilla chips or use as desired.
