This recipe uses the following spices:

Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:

1 lb. potatoes, any variety
2 Tbsp. butter
½ cup chopped onion
1 tsp. The Spice Hunter Granulated California Garlic
2 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. The Spice Hunter Fine Ground Black Pepper, plus more to taste
salt, if desired
1 ¼ cups milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation:

Peel potatoes and thinly slice into ¼? thick rounds. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small saucepan, melt butter, then add onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat until onion is cooked. Sprinkle flour, pepper and a pinch of salt, if desired, over onions, stirring to combine. Add milk and continue stirring until sauce is thickened. Add ¾ cup of cheese to sauce and stir until completely melted and smooth. Spread half the cut potatoes into a lightly greased 1 ½ quart baking dish. Pour half the sauce over potatoes, then repeat with remaining potatoes and sauce. Top with ¼ cup of cheese. Bake, covered 30 minutes, remove cover and bake an additional 30 minutes or until potatoes are done and top is melted and bubbly.
